About Us

Aranai Real Estates is a family-run property management company that has been operating since 1987.  We specialize in vacation rentals, both large and small.  Each property we own is designed to be beautiful yet comfortable.  We pride ourselves in our Asian heritage, and embrace the multi-heritage character of Montreal.

Montreal is growing ever more popular as a vacation destination, bringing ever more travellers into the bustling city.  Tourists are seeking more options for accommodations, and we believe that our properties provide the ideal combination of comfort and affordability without sacrificing quality.  Perfectly located in Downtown, yet away from the noise, our rentals allow our guests to experience Montreal as a local.

We choose buildings in choice locations because we believe that this is what begins a great stay in Montreal.  Our buildings are carefully renovated using quality materials and workmanship, and are meticulously maintained to retain their original charm and character.  Finally, our units are decorated with hand picked pieces to express our heritage and share our culture.

Whether you are looking at our quaint apartments, or our stately grey-stone home, you will find that they are the perfect places for you to stay in Montreal.

We welcome you to our beloved Montreal.

About the Neighbourhood

Shaughnessy Village is an Historical area located in the heart of downtown Montreal.  Even though it is accessible to several Metro Stations, it is often overlooked due to it's discreet and quiet location.  These tree-lined streets are now part of a protected historical residential area in Montreal.  Shaughnessy Village is named after the famous Shaughnessy House, which is now part of the Canadian Centre for Architecture.  Included in its vicinity was a community of sisters known as the Grey Nuns.  Their chapel and nunnery still stands today as part of Concordia University’s campus.  In the past, the nuns had rented out the surrounding grey-stone properties to use as guest rooms for the priests who visited and taught at the Nunnery.  As years gone by, these properties became homes for students, and recently, a rediscovery of these heritage buildings has brought a restoration to the area.  The village has been dramatically restored to beyond its original glory, and the homes within it are some of the most desired properties in Montreal.

Please visit the Shaughnessy Village Homepage for more historical information.
